The Rev. Deacon Marcus Bell - Youth Director

The Rev. Deacon Marcus Bell lives in Carrollton, Texas with his wife of almost 8 years, Melissa, and their son Wesley. They are expecting their second baby boy, Rory, in November!

Growing up with love for history, Marcus pursued and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Historical Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas with the intention to continue on in higher education for the same. It was during this period that he and Melissa found the Canterbury Trail, in search of the ancient church. This pursuit came out of the deep love for the Lord that both he and Melissa were raised in. They began attending Church of the Holy Communion in December of 2013, becoming members shortly after and have enjoyed active participation in the life of the Parish ever since.

Prior to completion of his time at University, Marcus decided to follow the call into ministry that had been there since his youth, to which he is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Cranmer Theological House.

As of June 1st, Marcus began a curacy at Church of the Holy Communion as the new Youth Minister, a decision that in many ways brings his life full circle, helping youth find love and faith in Jesus. Marcus’ hope and prayer remains the same, to further build upon the youth ministry of Church of the Holy Communion, with a continued desire to see the youth of the parish grow deeper in their faith and love for the Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To this end, he asks for your prayers.
